As I have reported before - my wife has an 18 plate regular CR-V EX AUUTO and the sat nav volume goes up to 17 but we only need it on 5/6 when it is twice the volume of the Hybrid on max!!! Another point I have not made is that there are 3 'voices to choose from. 2 female and 1 male.
has anyone experienced the sat nav taking on average 20 mins to locate the satellites at start up?
Since new mine (1.5 EX CVT Modern Steel) has always taken this long as well as losing them during a journey. I can be sitting at a junction and the screen just starts spinnig round and round. The altitude value will start to fluctuate dramatically and then it will lose reception.
I have also had instances where the car is stationary and the sat nav has me driving forward, turning a corner and heading off up the road.
It has been back into the dealers 3 times now, first time for a 'reload' of the system, 2nd time for 'an upgrade' to the system and the last time for a 'calibration' of the system. Noner of the visits have solved the issue.

Currently it is with technical at Honda UK who are deciding where to go next.
There is 1 update in the pipeline but this is still some way off and according to the technician at my dealer is not aimed to fix any problem similar to mine.
2018 Honda Crv Sat Nav Update
We bought 3 HR-V EX's as company cars and mine is the only one with the problem.
I would like a new head unit as I believe it to be hardware related but I need Honda UK to agree with me on that.
Anyones comments woudl be appreciated just in case there are more like mine out there. I hope not as this could point to an obscure software issue or of course a batch of faulty head units which is not beyond the realms of possibility.
